Gtrot connects with Facebook for advice from friends on travel

Earlier some time we had told you about Gogobot on how you can get personalized recommendations and reviews from your friends and other on Facebook.

Unlike Gogobot which had its own login, Gtrot is another webapp that works directly with Facebook to make your vacations better by adding a social component. It connects with friends who’ve visited places you’ve been before and helps you share your own trips and itineraries that you can easily let specific people or everyone know.

Upon adding a trip to Gtrot, it’ll find friends who live in the area that you can notify and contact for advice on your visit. If a friend is also using Gtrot, you’ll be able to find out if they’ve traveled to your upcoming destination and ask for advice as well. Gtrot also lets you add the places you’ve been so you can keep track of your travels and be a resource to others who have travel plans to your previous destinations.
