What will that achieve? What is to stop someone from doing whatever before the 1-hour deadline begins? In the case of a lot of international flights, the plane would have entered U.S airspace long before the last hour. I think this rule is more of a knee-jerk reaction than a serious security measure. The way this is going, at some point it will become simpler to just abolish air travel than implement security measures! The 1-hour rule seems fairly senseless. What will that achieve?
