Firstly, the road leading up to the sign can be accessed only by car; or it's a hike up there. No bus services go there. You can find the bus routes on metro.net; and if your area doesn't have the LA Metro buses, then you local buses may have connections to Metro. The place you can reach via metro is intersection of Beachwood blvd and Franklin ave. From there it's a long walk to the sign. One of the places you can see the sign (but a bit far off) is Kodak theater. Thanks Pravin,
